Spirit Trails - insightful encounters with people and planet - travel
June, July, August (13 nights)
Visiting the Cheyenne and Nez Perce, historical sites and national parks including Yellowstone.
[South Dakota, Montana, Idaho]

Explore the places that helped define the popular notion of the American West. See the sights which inspired both Native American and pioneer. Learn from the history, bask in the beauty, step into the past.

For two busy weeks you will be transported across four states, stretching from the mountainous Rockies down into the Great Plains, and into two Native American nations. You will visit National Parks, museums, frontier towns and Reservations; see animals, monuments and beautiful, expansive vistas. This is the land of Crazy Horse, Buffalo Bill, Sitting Bull, Wild Bill Hickock and Chief Joseph; the place of the Lewis and Clark expedition and the Treaty of Fort Laramie, Custer's Last Stand and the Nez Perce War; the heart of the American West.

This thrilling journey harks back to the foundation of the myths about the American West that still abound today, and helps you discover the truth behind them.
