# TRIP 2: NATIVE AMERICAN PEOPLES
OF THE COLORADO PLATEAU (Hopi, Navajo and Zuni Pueblo) July (7
nights) Ancient and contemporary understandings [Arizona & New Mexico]
Immerse yourself in the culture of the Native American
peoples of the Colorado Plateau - the Dineh (Navajo),
the Zuni and the Hopi. Live alongside them and learn
from their culture and their heritage. Expose yourself
to their ways of life in harmony with the natural
world. Be inspired by their lands, hear their stories,
feel their rich history, see their modern day.
For six full days you have the chance to visit thriving
communities across New Mexico and Arizona, from the
Zuni Pueblo to the Chaco Canyon, from the heart of
the Navajo Nation to a Hopi Mesa. You will travel
to important historical sites, be awestruck by beautiful
vistas, participate in arts, crafts and music, and
perhaps best of all, have the opportunity to spend
time with local people keen to share knowledge of
their culture.
This amazing experience is a great way of getting
to know more about the living culture of three strands
of the Native American southwest, in a way which is
sensitively put together with the support and expertise
of local guides and teachers.
